It’s not just a catchy title—Summerfest remains the ultimate leader in hosting a bunch of fantastic shows, featuring over 800 acts and more than 1,000 performances across 12 stages! And these aren’t just local talents. Indeed, over the 50+ years of the fest’s existence, many musical wonders have performed. Some famous legends included the Rolling Stones, Tina Turner, Stevie Wonder, Bruno Mars, Arctic Monkeys, Metallica, Lady Gaga, Dave Matthews Band, Aerosmith, and more.

Location, Timing, Location

Summerfest hasn’t moved an inch from where it originally launched in 1968. The year 2024 will see the return of the festival with the most acts to Henry Maier Festival Park in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, in the US.

Back in the day, the festival set two records: it went on for a whopping 11 days, making it the longest music fest, and it was also crowned the “Largest Music Festival in the World” by Guinness World Records in 1999. But since 2021 the festival has spanned over three consecutive weekends and will do so again in 2024. So, save the dates from twelve-to-twelve on June 20-22, June 27-29, and July 4-6, 2024.

Food & Other Activities

Summerfest was inspired by Oktoberfest in Germany and certainly doesn’t disappoint. In addition to awesome music the festival also offers delectable food and refreshments and shopping vendors to support the Mailwaukee community.
