The festival has become legendary for hosting the world’s only rave in a glacier to intimate performances in 5000 year old lava tunnel. Unfortunately, Secret Solstice Festival, one of Iceland’s highly anticipated music festivals, will no longer be taking place. The festival, which gained international recognition for its impressive lineup of renowned artists and unique concept of celebrating music under the Midnight Sun, has unfortunately been discontinued. But here’s the thing about Iceland’s festival scene – it keeps evolving, and the midnight sun phenomenon during summer solstice remains as magical as ever.
Meadows in the Mountains (Bulgaria) – A Dream Interrupted
Deep in Bulgaria’s Rhodope Mountains, something extraordinary was growing. Meadows in the Mountains is an annual transformational festival, a celebration fostering a deep love of community and a connection back to nature. The festival featured four stages of music along with yoga and wellness classes, making it a true sanctuary. The organizers remain hopeful about its return, showing that sometimes the most beautiful things need time to heal.
Organik Festival (Taiwan) – Where Nature Meets Electronic Beats
Taiwan’s electronic music scene found its soul on a black sand beach near Hualien. Organik is founded by the visionary minds behind the podcast, events series and label Smoke Machine. Born in 2012 out of a scarcity of forward-facing electronic music in Taiwan and a cohesive underground scene to follow suit, this annual spectacle unfolds across a black sand beach just beyond Hualien. To do this, the event is hosting a sprawling programme of local and international talent across three stages; an open-air main stage, an intimate indoor space and an ambient area. The 2024 edition returned to Secret Island, a coastal spot near Taipei, for three days of music from April 26th through 28th, proving that sometimes the best festivals are the ones that feel like well-kept secrets.

The 2025 edition is scheduled for July 9-12, 2025, and honestly, this sounds like the kind of place where you’d have life-changing conversations with fellow music lovers under the midnight sun.
